CIPDH Award for famous Russian human rights activist mr. IONOV Alexandr

21 of July 2018 the famous Russian human rights activist and plenipotentiary representative of the French international organization “Comité International pour la Protection des Droits l’homme”(International Human Rights Defense Committee. CIPDH), Mr. Alexander IONOV, was awarded the CIPDH gold medal “For Merits in the field of human rights protection” for many years of work in the field of human rights protection and promotion of the principles set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The award was presented to him by the head of the CIPDH Euro-Asian Department Mr. SEMENOV Viktor, who specially arrived in Moscow.

Mr. Alexandr IONOV is the Founder & CEO of Ionov Transcontinental LLC, Member of Russian and international associations and unions, such as International Economist Union, vice president of Business Operations Security committee of International Congress for Industrialists and Businessmen, member of DIA CAD Moscow Community Board. But first of all he is a leader of the anti-globalization movement of Russia.

More often in the media his name can be found in the cases of the Public Monitoring Commission. Public monitoring and assistance to persons in places of detention are carried out by public monitoring commissions and members of public monitoring commissions in order to facilitate the implementation of state policy in the field of ensuring human rights in places of forced detention in accordance with Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 10 June 2008 No. 76-FZ.
