The Human Rights Centre (HRIDC) is a Georgia based NGO dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights.
HRIDC employs 30 people in its head office in Tbilisi and its field offices in Zugdidi, Batumi, Gori, and Gurjaani.
Priorities of the HRIDC are: Strengthening the Rule of Law; Supporting Freedom of Expression and Media; Supporting Transitional Justice; Promoting Equality and Social Inclusion and Reinforcement of Democratic processes.
The Center is implementing following programs: Children’s Rights, Women’s Rights, Trafficking, Refugees and IDPs, Media, Human Rights Defenders; Social-Economic and Cultural Rights, Minorities, Conflict Prevention/Resolution.
Monitoring and Documenting human rights violations in Georgia.
Reporting on human rights situation in Georgia to the EU, Council of Europe, OSCE, UN, ICC and others international bodies on regular basis.
Lobbying and Advocacy of legislative and policy reforms before national and international institutions.
Litigating cases on human rights violations through Legal Aid Centre free of charge.
Public Awareness Raising on human rights situation in Georgia by daily-updatable bi-lingual online magazine www.HumanRights.ge and video-portal www.hridc.tv
Networking among human rights organizations on national and regional level.
